Volunteers at Aldinga Beach Primary

We warmly welcome parents, carers, and family members to be part of our learning community. Volunteers enrich our school by sharing their time, skills, and enthusiasm—helping us create a vibrant and supportive environment for our students.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Helping at school events like the Twilight Concert and Sports Day
• Supporting students on excursions and camps
• Assisting with classroom activities such as reading support
• Helping in the kitchen, school garden, or working bees

Volunteer Checklist

(As required by the Department for Education SA)

1. Register Your Interest
   Contact Student Services to discuss how you’d like to help.
2. Apply for a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
   • Free for volunteers
   • Valid for 5 years
   • Apply via the Department of Human Services website
3. Complete RRHAN-EC Training
   (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care) – Fundamentals course, online.
4. Complete the Department for Education Online Induction
   A short, 30-minute volunteer induction module.
5. Attend a Site Induction at ABPS
   An in-person introduction before you begin volunteering.
