At Aldinga Beach Primary School, our three core values guide everything we do:
Kindness • Respect • Integrity
These values shape the way we learn, play and interact with each other every day.
- Kindness – We care for ourselves and others, include everyone, and help those in need.
- Respect – We value people, places and property, listen to others, and take responsibility for our actions.
- Integrity – We are honest, make strong choices and do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Our Behaviour Matrix
Our Behaviour Matrix makes our values clear and visible for all students, families and staff. It shows what Kindness, Respect and Integrity look like in different areas of school life — in the classroom, in the yard, and out in the community.
Kindness
All the time
- We speak calmly with care and compassion.
- We include and accept others.
- Be kind to yourself and look after your own wellbeing.
- Be courteous and polite.
Learning
- We acknowledge and seek to understand others’ opinions, ideas and differences.
- We include others and work collaboratively.
Outdoor Areas
- We seek to include others in our play.
- We help each other to solve problems.
- We remove ourselves from conflict and seek assistance from an adult.
Respect
All the time
- We care for Country
- We listen to and follow reasonable instructions.
- We take care of personal and shared property.
- We move around the school and the community in a responsible manner.
- We respect our own and others’ personal space and seek consent.
Learning
- We allow ourselves and others to learn and teachers to teach.
- We keep our learning areas and equipment organised.
- We let everyone have the opportunity to contribute.
Outdoor Areas
- We take turns fairly with equipment and play spaces
- We take responsibility for the equipment that we use.
- We stay within our allocated play spaces.
Integrity
All the time
- We will be honest and make strong choices.
- We do the right thing, because it is the right thing to do.
- We represent our school by modelling positive behaviour.
Learning
- We attempt all tasks and seek support when needed.
- We accept and learn from feedback
- We strive for a high quality and standard in the work we produce.
Outdoor Areas
- We agree on and follow the rules of the game we are playing.
- We all contribute to keeping our yard clean.
- We solve problems by owning our mistakes and being honest.
