Student Government

At Aldinga Beach Primary School, we believe student voice is an important part of shaping our school community.
Our Student Government provides students with the opportunity to lead, represent their peers, and influence positive change across the school.

Structure of Student Government

Prime Ministers (Year 6): Elected from the Year 6 cohort, our Prime Ministers lead the Student Government and take on the highest level of responsibility.

Junior Ministers (Years 4–5): Support the initiatives of the Student Government and contribute ideas and actions.

Student Representatives (Reception–Year 3): Elected annually, these students bring forward year-level issues and perspectives. They may also meet with school leadership to provide student voice on specific matters.

Role and Responsibilities

Student Ministers gather feedback and ideas from their classmates and the wider student body. This information is then discussed at Student Government meetings to identify what matters most to students. The group works together to develop initiatives, raise concerns, and suggest changes that can make a difference across the school.

Through their involvement, students learn about leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and active citizenship — skills they will carry beyond their time at primary school.
