Supervision
Before school: Yard supervision begins at 8:30am until classrooms open at 8:40am.
After school: Supervision is at the gates with crossings until 3:15pm. Students not collected by this time will be taken to the Front Office. Students may be taken to OSHC and families charged accordingly.
Please note: There is no supervision in the yard after school and we ask that families make their way directly out of school grounds and avoid playing on playgrounds or ovals.
Reporting absences
Please notify the school before 9:00am if your child is absent:
- Phone: (08) 8556 5060 – Option 1 for absence message service
- SMS: 0476 857 199 – include your child’s name, class and reason for absence
- Seesaw: Send a message to your child’s class teacher
Office phone lines
When calling (08) 8556 5060, please select:
- Option 1: Student absence message service
- Option 2: Student Services (first aid and student-related enquiries)
- Option 3: Front Office (general enquiries)
- Option 4: Finance Office (payments and account queries)
You can leave messages for each area, and we will endeavour to respond within the school day.
Arriving late / leaving early
Students arriving after 8:50am must sign in at the Front Office before going to class.
For early departures, please follow the Collecting Students process below.
Collecting students & sending messages to class
Please Seesaw message your child’s teacher before the start of the school day to advise of any early departures or appointments, including whether your child will return later in the day.
Make sure your child is aware of these arrangements in the morning.
Teachers will send students to the Front Office at the required time.
Please avoid calling the office to say you are on your way—this disrupts learning time and takes staff away from other important duties.
Organise collection locations or who will be collecting students before school starts and discuss this with your child.
For wet weather days, make plans in advance and let your child know.
We understand last-minute changes can happen, but your help with the above minimises class disruptions.
Term dates & pupil-free days
Term dates are set by the Department for Education and are available on our school calendar. Pupil-free days and school closures will be advertised in advance via Seesaw, the newsletter, and the website calendar.
Attendance social worker
Our school’s attendance social worker works in partnership with families and staff to support regular and punctual attendance. She can help identify and address any barriers to attendance, provide guidance on Department for Education attendance requirements, and connect families with services if needed. The aim is to work together to ensure every student has the best opportunity to engage fully in their learning.
