School Events
Book Week
Each year, Aldinga Beach Primary School celebrates Book Week with a full week of activities designed to promote a love of reading. Students take part in shared reading experiences, author studies and creative literacy tasks across the school. One of the highlights is our much-loved Book Week Parade, where students and staff dress as their favourite book characters. It’s a colourful, joyful event that brings our whole school community together to celebrate storytelling.
Colour Run
Our Colour Run is a fun, high-energy event enjoyed by students, staff and families alike. Held as part of our fundraising initiatives, students move through a course where they are showered with bursts of colour and buckets of slime. The event encourages physical activity, teamwork and lots of laughter. It’s a wonderful way for our community to connect, cheer each other on and celebrate being active outdoors.
Twilight Concert
The Twilight Concert is a highlight on the ABPS calendar, showcasing the creative talents of our students. Families gather on the school grounds for an evening of performances, including class dances, choir items and music pieces. The relaxed outdoor setting creates a warm community atmosphere, and the event allows students to build confidence as they share their learning with an authentic audience.
Sports Day
Sports Day is an annual celebration of physical activity, teamwork and house spirit. Students compete in a range of events representing their house teams – Culley, Croser, Lovelock and Pengilly – while families cheer from the sidelines. The day includes both competitive races and fun novelty events, providing opportunities for all students to participate. It’s a positive, energetic day where our values of Respect, Kindness and Integrity shine.
Arts Showcase
Our Arts Showcase celebrates creativity across visual art, music, dance and drama. Students display artworks, photography, and mixed-media pieces, and have opportunities to perform for families and peers. The event highlights the depth of talent within our school and the importance of arts learning in developing confident, expressive and imaginative learners.
