Aldinga Beach Primary School Bus Service

Operated by Willunga Charters

Our school provides a free bus service for eligible students, primarily servicing the Sellicks Beach and Silver Sands areas. This service is operated by Willunga Charters under contract with the Department for Education.

Eligibility
    • Students must live 5km or more from their nearest government school or school bus service (by the shortest all-weather road route).
    • Families must complete a Request for Bus Travel Form before their child can travel.
    • Ineligible students may apply for travel if there are spare seats. Approval can be withdrawn at any time.

Families can access real-time tracking, boarding/deboarding alerts, and service notifications via the BusMinder app.

To use the app:

    • Give permission for your email address to be shared with Willunga Charters.
    • You will receive setup instructions once your account is created.

Behaviour Expectations

Students must:

    • Follow the school Behaviour Policy.
    • Keep mobile devices in bags (no games, music, or messaging).
    • Not eat or drink on the bus (water only).
    • Stay seated with seatbelt fastened.
    • Use respectful language at all times.

Failure to follow expectations may result in suspension from the service.

Return forms to the school office.

Collect your Bus Pass once approved.

Please note: Lost passes must be reported to the school immediately via student services so that a replacement can be provided.

Bushfire Safety
    • The bus will not operate on CFS-declared Catastrophic Fire Danger Days.
    • If a fire occurs during the day, the bus will only run once authorities declare it safe. Parents will be notified via the Parent Portal.
