House Teams
Welcome to Our House Teams!
Get ready to cheer, belong, and compete! At Aldinga Beach Primary School, every student is part of a dynamic house team, building pride, friendships, and a powerful sense of belonging.
Our four houses are bursting with colour, energy, and spirit:

Agile and curious, our Possums are known for their resourcefulness and fiery determination.

Bold and spirited, our Kangaroos leap high with creativity and teamwork.

Bright and lively, our Lorikeets bring energy and harmony to every challenge.

When students enrol, they are welcomed into one of these house teams, ensuring a balance of talents across the school. Families stay together in the same house, creating a strong bond of pride and tradition that grows year after year.
Throughout the year, our house teams light up the school with their enthusiasm—whether it’s Sports Day, spirit challenges, or whole-school celebrations. Every event is an opportunity to shine, celebrate achievements, and show what teamwork is all about.
We can’t wait to see where you’ll belong—which team will you cheer for?
The Story Behind Our House Names
Our house names honour some of Aldinga’s settlers, connecting our students with the history of our local community.
Pengilly – The Pengilly family were among the early settlers of the Aldinga district, with John Pengilly farming the land after his arrival in South Australia in the 1840s.
Croser – The Croser family contributed strongly to the life of the region, particularly remembered through community and sporting connections.
Lovelock – George Lovelock and his family farmed across the Aldinga Plains from the 1840s, playing a role in shaping the growing district.
Culley – The Culley family’s story is intertwined with Aldinga’s history, including marriage into the Lovelock family and strong local roots dating back to the late 1800s.
By naming our houses after these families, we honour Aldinga’s past while inspiring today’s students to carry forward
the same spirit of resilience, creativity, and community.
