Enrolments

Welcome to Aldinga Beach Primary School’s enrolment page — your one-stop guide for starting or continuing your child’s primary school journey with us. We are excited to welcome new families into our caring, vibrant community and look forward to supporting every child as they grow, learn, and thrive.

School Zoning

Aldinga Beach Primary School gives priority to children whose usual home address is within our official school zone — this means we are their closest government school.

In Aldinga Beach a shared zone applies, which gives families a choice between two schools.

You can confirm your zoning by visiting the Find My School website or by contacting our friendly front office staff.

Reception Enrolments

If your child is starting school for the first time, we encourage you to complete a Reception Registration of Interest form and submit it to our school.

The Department for Education offers two Reception intakes each year:

  • Term 1 intake – for children turning 5 before 1 May of that year.
  • Mid-year (Term 3) intake – for children turning 5 between 1 May and 31 October of that year.

Children starting in Term 1 complete four terms of Reception, while mid-year starters complete six terms.

We recommend submitting your Registration of Interest by the end of Term 2 in the year before your child is due to start school. Late applications may still be considered.

Once we receive your form, you will be invited to a pre-enrolment interview or school tour with the Principal. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, see our learning spaces, and learn more about our school programs. Interpreter services can be arranged if needed.

Student Transfers

If you are considering transferring your child to Aldinga Beach Primary from another school, please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

  • From another SA government school – applications can be made directly to us, and we will arrange transfer of student records. Aldinga Beach Primary School is located within a shared zone with another Government School. Transfers within a shared zone are coordinated principal-to-principal and only considered when there is capacity. Unfortunately, this means we may not be able to accept some students already enrolled at the other school in our shared zone.
  • From interstate – please provide written permission for us to contact your child’s previous school.
  • International enrolments – depending on visa type, you may need to apply through the Department for Education’s International Education Services team.

General Enrolment Process

When you enquire about enrolment, we will:

We want this process to be welcoming, clear, and stress-free.
